- Ayala Ben Tovim Fleg Zacks Abramov (1912-) was born in Jerusalem and educated in Israel, Paris and London. She was active in Zionist circles after the Second World War, facilitating her meeting her second husband, Sam Zacks (1904-1970). He was born in Kingston Ontario, Canada, and was a financier, Zionist and art collector. Together they amassed a very large collection which they leant / bequeathed to various Canadian and Israeli institutions. After Sam Zacks’ death, Ayala married Zalman Abramov, an Israeli lawyer and politician, and moved to Israel permanently in 1982.
