- The Health Club Committee, also known as the Health Club Services Committee, or the Health Services Committee, was one of the earliest standing committees created by the YM-YWHA. Their original mandate was to oversee the operation of the men's health club. In 1953 a separate women's health club was created alongside the men's and a Women's Health Services Committee was struck to oversee its operations. A new Men's Health Services Committee was created to reflect this new arrangement, while the old Health Club Committee continued to function, but in a new role as a joint committee.
- Scope and Content
- This file contains textual records relating to the Men's Health Club Services Committee, which oversaw the programs and activities of the men's health club. The records include meeting minutes and agendas, program schedules, correspondence, reports and bulletins. There is also some material that was created under the joint auspices of both the men's committee and the women's committee.
- Notes
- There is some overlap in the records kept in the files for the Health Club Committee, the Men's Health Services Committee and the Women's Health Services Committee.
