The slide collection was presumed to have been used for educational purposes and include slides from a personal collection of photos from Weimar, Germany (1920s - 1930s), Washington D.C., U.S.A. (1966), and Anne Frank House. There are slides of Israel demonstrating Arab and Israeli relations, Kibbutz Hazorea and additional slides of Israel from what appears to be an organized youth trip (ca. 1970). In addition there are glass slides of European cities including Warsaw, Poland and Rothenburg, Germany. Lastly, there is a newspaper clipping from the Toronto Daily Star regarding the sale and demolition of the N. Smith Belting Ltd. building at the northwest corner of Adelaide and York (1970).
- Administrative History
- Kibbutz Hazorea - Unlike other kibbutzim Hazorea is the only kibbutz founded by graduates of a German Jewish youth movement "Werkleute", young socialist-oriented liberals, who originally sought to find a new alternative to the Jewish community in Germany.
