The UJWF Coordinating Committee was established in 1961 to include representatives of; the Executive Committee, the Budget and Finance Committee, the Social Planning Committee, the Capital Needs and Planning Committee, and the Survey Committee on Jewish Education. Its mandate was to deal with requests from affiliated agencies for new and/or additional funding for expanded programs, unexpected deficits and new facilities. UJWF committees most affected by such requests and capable of handling them in a coordinated manner formed the Coordinating Committee.. Agencies dealing with this committee included; the Jewish Camp Council, the BJE, JF&CS, the YM-YWHA, and various Toronto Jewish schools. Although some records from 1961 are included here, the committee actually held its first meeting on April 17, 1962 and its final meeting on Jan. 13, 1964.
