- This file consists of general correspondence. Included is correspondence pertaining to Mizrachi business; Katz's involvement with the start of the" Hebrew Journal"; correspondence pertaining to arrangements for summers spent in Bronte, ON. (e.g. notifying Toronto police of his absence, rerouting The Jewish Morning Journal, gardening services); a letter from Toronto G'millath Chasidim Association contacting Katz as guarantor or a loan; correspondence concerning properties owned by Katz (e.g. rent owning, property assessment, utilities, purchase of property in Bronte, ON in 1931, notice from the Department of Buildings requesting a repair of a chimney, insurance); a postcard in Yiddish; a personal letter of thanks from Samuel Factor, M.P.; a bill of sale for plumbing supplies; birthday greetings; correspondence with Horowitz Bros. & Margareten concerting information regarding the Customs Division of Canada and correspondence sent form Poland (e.g. a copy of a marriage certificate written in Hebrew and Yiddish, a wedding invitation) and miscellaneous correspondence in Yiddish. Also included are two letters sent by Katz to business associates requesting they not do business with his son, Ben, following Ben's decision to leave Reliable Tobacco once he got engaged in 1936. Also included is a medical report by Dr. A. I. Willinsky.
