- Nokhem Reinhartz was born in Lodz, in 1924, and had lived in Toronto since 1950.
- Adela Reinhartz was born in Toronto, in 1953.
- Aaron Feiner was born in Warsaw in 1917, and had lived in Canada since 1950.
- Scope and Content
- Item consists of recorded sessions with Nokhem Reinhartz, who learned his songs in Vilnius, where he spent his childhood, and sang the songs during a session attended by his daughter Adela, his wife Henia, and his neighbour Saba Friede; Adela Reinhartz, interviewed by Dov Noy and singing songs learned in her Peretz school in Toronto and in Arbeter Ring (Workmen's Circle) camps in Ontario and New York; and Aaron Feiner, who also describes life and folkways in Warsaw.
