- Admin History/Bio
- Rachel Leah Shonfield was born in 1885 in Radom, Poland, where she was a friseure (hairdresser). She moved to Canada in 1937.
- Mrs. Rivka Nielkin was born in 1900 in Warsaw, Poland, where she sang in choirs. She lived from 1932 to 1952 in Palestine-Israel then moved to Toronto in 1952.
- Mrs. Rachel Abkin was born in 1900 in Lithuania and moved to Canada in 1925.
- Mrs. Dora Pincus was born in 1878 in London, England and moved to Toronto in 1906. She was an amateur actor in the Yiddish theatre.

- Item consists of sessions recorded with Mr. Pawel Mroz and Mrs. Felicia Mroz; Rachel Leah Shonfield; Mrs. Rivka Nielkin; Mrs. Rachel Abkin; Mr. Joshua Abramczyk; Mr. L. Bassman; Mr. Zurick Wise; Mrs. Dora Pincus; Mr. Aaron Freedlander; Mr. Shalom Shlifer; Mrs. Fanny Guttman; Mrs. Y. Brickman; and Mrs. Rae Grossman.

- Scope & Content: Track 1 contains partial DN 41; track 2 contains DN 42.

- Physical Condition
- Tape is in good condition. Track 1 audio quality ranges from fair to poor -- volume is low at times, with some amount of noise and hum, and content can be difficult to understand; track 2 audio quality is fair, and content is mostly clear.
