He announces the upcoming Workmen's Circle Social Club's Hanukkah dinner, at which he will be a guest speaker, thanks members of the Toronto Jewish community for their contributions to Israel and Jewish organizations, and offers his condolences to the family of Blima [surname unninteligible] for her recent death. He also comments on the deaths of Shlomo Takal, a salesman who was knifed in the Gaza Strip, and Sergeant Benyamina, who stepped on a landmine in Lebanon. He blames the Soviet Union for the murder of Jews in Israel, claiming that all armaments used for that purpose are sold by that country, and briefly discusses the situation of Soviet Jews. Aditionally, he briefly talks about the new Department of Nutrition at Shaare Zedek Medical Center and calls for donations. Finally, he announces the upcoming Hanukkah dinner hosted by Pioneer Women, at which he will be speaking.
