- Scope and Content
- Item consists of Rabbi Monson's segment. He thanks members of the Toronto Jewish community for donations to the Israel National Fund for the replanting of trees in Israel and to Shaare Zedek Medical Center. He also announces an upcoming night at the theatre sponsored by Shaare Zedek Women's Division and the Hanukkah Appeal for the Israel Soldiers Welfare Fund. He then talks about the finding of former Nazi labour camp commander Josef Schwammberger in Argentina and Germany's request to extradition. Finally, he talks about a secret three-day conference held in Moscow during which 90 refuseniks discussed secrecy and emigration. He then talks about some of the attendees and the reaction of the Soviet authorities.
