- Scope and Content
- Item consists of a Spotlight On Science recording. Bill Stern interviews Joyce and Gordon Strauss, form Kitchener. Gordon was the president of the Waterloo-Kitchener Chapter of the Canadian Society for the Weizmann Institute of Science. The couple talk about the Jewish community in Kitchener and their involvement with it. They also talk about Rabbi Rosenzweig's leadership in the community, and Joyce talks about her work with the United Jewish Appeal. Finally, they discuss the upcoming art auction that was soon to take place at the Beth Jacob Syngogue, in Kitchener, in support of the Weizmann Institute. Works by Segal, Dalí, and Miró, among others, were to be auctioned.
