- Scope and Content
- Item consists of an Edward's Choice recording. Edward Borins talks about autographed copies of books and their growing market value as an investment. He highlights artbooks as particularly valuable, especially those by distinguished Canadian artists, and invites his listeners to the signing of "Glen Loates: A Brush With Life," a book about the work of Canadian wildlife artist Glen Loates, on Sunday, 7 October 1984, at 3 pm. Borins provides biographical information about the painter and discusses Ewards Books & Art's tradition of hosting high-profile book signings, started with Sophia Loren in October 1977. He also mentions others that have signed their books at the store, including David Hockney, Gloria Swanson, Chaim Herzog, and A. J. Casson.
