- Scope and Content
- Item consists of a recording of Ben Kayfetz's segment. He comments on an article published on the Toronto Star about David [Crow] and his accomplishments. Kayfetz notes, however, that the man was not born in Moscow, where only few Jews were allowed to live in 1905, the year he was born, but rather in Mogilev, present-day Belarus. He also talks about the acquirement of all 85,000 record copies of the Metro Music collection by the National Yiddish Book Center. Metro Music was a New York publisher of Jewish music that went out of business in 1970, and its entire collection was acquired and put on sale by the National Yiddish Book Center.
