- Scope and Content
- Item consists of a recording of Aliyah Corner. Could not be played due to stickiness. David Bale interviews Rabbi Meyer Berglas, who had been rabbi at the Shaarei Tefillah Congregation in Toronto for 10 years until 1979, when he, his wife, and six children made aliyah to Israel. Bale talks about Rabbi Berglas' tour of North America to discuss his experience in the development of [Karneish Omron], established in 1977 as part of a plan to provide more strategic depth to the State of Israel. Rabbi Berglas talks about the development, its characteristics, its location, its strategic importance, and its social and economic profile.
