- Scope and Content
- Item consists of a recording of the Canada-Israel Committee segment. David Weinberg talks about Israel's struggle to juggle control of multiple issues, such as hosting the visit of Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Asmat Abdel-Meguid to the country, debating an international peace conference on the Middle East, defending their border control policies to the US State Department, adjusting to the controversy of a visiting Soviet consular delegation, and the ongoing strikes. However, he focuses on tensions building in the Persian Gulf and discusses it at length.
