- Lola Alexandrowicz was born circa 1929 in Ostrowiec, Poland. Her father’s name was Hershl, and her siblings were Edria and Yankel. In the mid-1940s, she was in Manchester, England, where she lived in a hostel with other Polish girls and attended an English school.
