- Zlate Kotek was from Ostrowiec, Poland. Her husband was killed during the Holocaust. In the mid-1940s, she was living in Paris with her child. During this time, she remarried; her new husband’s surname was Veysblom. She may have gone by the name Jeanine while living in France.

- File consists of a letter from Zlate Kotek in Paris, France, to the Ostrowzer Aid Society, dated 18 June 1946. In this letter, the writer expresses her gratitude for the received package, detailing its contents. She shares personal hardships, including losing her husband during the war. She requests assistance in obtaining a sewing machine for her new husband to make coats. Envelope is included. File also contains a typed translation.
