- Mrs. Szmuklerman was possibly from Ostrowiec, Poland. Her grandparents were named Chil and Hindle. She and her husband, Tanchen, were living in the American-occupied zone of Munich in the mid-1940s.
- Scope and Content
- File consists of a letter from Mrs. Szmuklerman in the American-occupied zone of Munich, Germany, to an aunt and uncle, dated 29 August 1946. She writes about surviving family members, some of whom have travelled to California and Palestine. She writes about her husband and expresses her desire to immigrate to America. Envelope is included.
