Scope and Content
In December 1967, members of Toronto's UJA Leadership Fact-Finding Commission travelled to Israel to participate in a twelve-day fact-finding mission to study the country's health and welfare needs. The following individuals were members of the commission: Sam Crystal, Dr. Hart Levin, J. Irving Zucker, Morris Leibtag, Dr. Leonard Goldberg, Rabbi Albert Pappenheim, Phillip G. Givens, J. C. Oelbaum, Jack Israeli, Harold Hertzman, Dr. George Liban, Samuel Gotfrid, Dr. Wilfred Rovan, and David Marks.
Series comprises 149 photographs taken on the mission described above. Locations documented include the Golan Heights, Jerusalem, Nablus, and Safed. Individuals documented include David Ben-Gurion, the first prime minister of Israel; Levi Eshkol, the then prime minister of Israel; Philip Givens, the former mayor of Toronto; and Zalman Shazar, the then president of Israel. According to the donor, the photographs were taken by Sam Crysal; however, several photographs have a photographer's stamp on verso which credit Zev Radovan of Jerusalem as the photographer.

File consists of ten photographs taken in Israel during a study mission that took place in 1957. Included is an early photo of the construction of the Medical Centre of Kupat Holim in Elat. Men on the trip include Stan Sobol, Milton Shier, Alex Fisher, Morley Pape, Jack Kamin, Murray Koffler, ? Hildebrand, Leon Weinstein, Gus Weinstein, ? Eisen, Max Tanenbaum, Ben Weinberg, John Fienberg, Rabbi Reuben Slonim. Yitzhak Ben-Zvi, the then president of Israel, is shown at at the centre of a group photo. David Ben-Gurion is shown in his office at his desk, with six men leaning in around him. The 1958 mission occurred in 1957.

Scope and Content
File consists of six photographs of the 1969 UJA Study Mission to Israel. Photos depict the group checking in and departing the Toronto airport, arriving in Israel, visiting the Old Jericho Rest House, and returning to Toronto. One photo depicts Rabbi Albert Pappenheim, George Liban, and other men of the mission praying at the Western Wall (photo by Zev Radovan, 21 Alfasi Road, Jerusalem). Present in various photographs are Nat Silver, Dr. Allan Small, Mirial Small, Rabbi Albert Pappenheim, George Liban, and Rabbi Harold Lerner. The 1969 mission occurred in 1968.

File consists of two photographs of the 1969 UJA Women's Campaign Mission to Ottawa.
The first photo depicts members of the campaign on the steps of at Parliament Hill. Identified in the photo are Phil Givens, Sally Libman, Annette Naiman, Frances Seligman, Mirial Small, Inez Solish, and Marvelle Koffler.
The second photo is a group photo at an event; identified in the photo are Phil Givens, MP; Mitchell Sharp; Beatrice Minden (standing); Florence Cooper; and Barney Danson, MP (sitting).

The Project Renewal missions, begun in the late 1970s, were developed to address the socioeconomic gap in Israeli society by pairing a federation with a town or institution in Israel in need of rehabilitation.
Scope and Content
File consists of thirty-five negatives depicting a UJA Project Renewal mission in the late 1970s. Sites visited include the future site of a community centre in Beit Dagan. Sign reads: "We are partners in the renewal of Beit Dagan." Identified individuals include Irving Granovsky.

File consists of nine photographs from the departure of the 1970 UJA Study Mission to Israel. In the first photo, Nathan Silver and Lewis Moses pose with two other men "examining" a map of Israel. In photos taken at the airport in Toronto, Lewis Moses, Yetta Orfus, Morris Orfus, Oscar Shainhouse, Dr. Allan and Mirial Small, Albert Mandel, Albert Tobias, Saul Sigler, Yehuda Noy, and Phil Givens are identified. In one photo, two men weigh two women on the baggage scales at Malton Airport in Toronto; the back of the photo identifies Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rose and Berta and Joe Lunenfeld. Possible caption options scrawled on the back of the photo read, "Fun with their wives," and "A weighty problem." The 1970 mission occurred in 1969. The last photo depicts a UJA mission group arriving in Israel; Sol Granek and H. Wayne Tanenbaum (4th from right) are identified in the accompanying descriptive notes, and on the back of the photo "Wayne Tanenbaum's 1970 Mission" is written.
